Jess has always had a passion for pattern and print. She developed her creative ideas and love of printmaking alongside her career before deciding to take the plunge to make Jess Rayson Designs her full-time job in 2021.

Working from her garden studio in Apperley, she enjoys carving her lino blocks and mixing her own colours, using non-toxic, washable inks.

All her work is handprinted and then sewn by Jess. She particularly loves the careful process of handprinting onto fabric, giving each product its own subtle individuality. It’s a slow, meditative process, which she hopes brings a peaceful and positive energy to her work.

The natural world is her main inspiration, from the shapes and textures of the wild flowers growing in the hedgerows, to the veg growing on her allotment.

All designs can be printed in a colour to suit your home. Please contact Jess to discuss bespoke orders.
